Initial Meeting

Once you have decided that you would like to build your dream home, the first step is to locate a lot or land on which to build your home. In most cases, we find that our clients have already located and/or purchased a lot; however, we’ll be happy to assist you in finding a site if this is not the case. We can also recommend an architectural firm should this be required.

Review Architectural Design

We will accompany you to the home site to meet with the architect to discuss home orientation, sun orientation, tree topography and other home site specifics. We encourage you to present ideas of floor plan examples concerning total square footage, number of rooms, number of baths, outdoor living, pools, etc. The more information that you can provide us with, the better!

Finalize Plan and Specification Details

We will meet with you to review your final plans. We’ll discuss details of specifications, interior selections, cabinets, doors, colors, counter tops, etc. During this meeting we will understand more of your desired style of home in order to properly provide a cost for the project.

Cost Proposal

At this time we will review the cost proposal and specification allowances. If the price doesn’t meet your budget, we will re-evaluate your specifications and rebid the project.

Construction Contract

Thomas B. Creasy, Builder and you will sign off on the specifications and contract. At this time we will discuss the details of the deposit and installment of draws.

Lending

If a loan is part of your building plan, we will provide all of the information requested by your lender. Once you have a loan commitment and the permitting process is complete, construction can begin.

Selection Process

We will provide you with supplier locations for your home finishes and will be happy to assist with with this process.

Change Orders

Client change orders after the contract is signed will need to be agreed upon in writing prior to the beginning of work. This makes sure that all parties understand the cost associated with the change as well as ensuring that we clearly understand your needs.

Construction Process/Project Schedule

We will meet with you to discuss the overall construction process and what to expect as well as advise you of milestones throughout the construction process.

Home Delivery/Satisfaction Assurance

After you’ve moved into your dream home, we will follow up with you to ensure that you are happy with your new residence.
